West Coast Regional Convening

Thank you for your interest in the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA) West Coast Regional Convening! We are SO excited to be hosting a regional convening in Oakland, CA from April 22nd-23rd, 2026.

NQAPIA's West Coast Regional Convening brings LGBTQ+ & AANHPI individuals, organizations, and coalitions serving the US West together for two full days of community building, resource sharing, and strategic planning. Between hosting events in the Bay over the last 20 years and welcoming our new Cali-based Executive Director, this convening will merge NQAPIA's roots with our new era. Our convenings are a platform for groups to share wisdom and build regional collective power, strengthening our national LGBTQ+ AAPI network. We know queer AAPI organizers on the West Coast have made huge strides in our liberation, and we want to continue building on their legacy. Whether you're a seasoned non-profit employee, grassroots organizer, or community member, we would love to see you. 

Our West Coast Regional Convening will consist of two full days of community-led movement building workshops on Wednesday, April 22nd and Thursday, April 23rd from approximately 9am - 4pm. NQAPIA will also be hosting a community reception on Friday, April 24th in San Francisco - link to RSVP. 

We recommend out of town travelers arrive in the Bay Area on Tuesday, April 21st and depart Saturday-Sunday, April 25th-26th. 

Registration is required to attend. Location will be shared with registered attendees only. Registration will remain open until April 15th, 2026 or capacity is reached. 

NQAPIA has limited travel scholarships through a separate application.
