Midwest Regional Convening

Thank you for your interest in the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance Midwest Regional Convening! Are you apart of an organization in the U.S. Midwest that works to empower, organize, or advocate for LGBTQ+ AANHPI communities? Are you an individual interested in community building work, seeking a political home, or looking to form new connections in your region? NQAPIA's Midwest Regional Convening brings individuals, organizations, and coalitions that primarily work in the Midwest with LGBTQ+ AANHPI communities together for two full days of community building, resource sharing, and strategic planning. With Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders accounting for some of the fastest growing racial groups in the Midwest, national organizations, like NQAPIA must make the space and provide platforms for Midwestern voices, tapping into our collective power.

We are honored to be hosting the Midwest Regional Convening in Chicago, IL from September 25-28th, 2025:

• Thursday, September 25th - Travel day (arrival)
• Friday, September 26th - Programming and Workshops 8:30am CST - 4pm CST
• Saturday, September 27th - Programming and Workshops 9:00am CST - 4pm CST
• Sunday, September 28th - Travel day (departure)

Registration is free and required to attend. Location will be shared with registered attendees only. Registration will remain open until September 14th or capacity is reached. 

Travel scholarship applicationsare now closed.Travel scholarships will be available for Midwest-based community members in a separate form.
